Ahead of the August Bank Holiday, easyJet and easyJet holidays have revealed the best-value Bank Holiday escapes from more UK regional airports than any other package holiday provider, offering spontaneous travellers a high-value city break without touching their annual leave.
easyJet is operating over 800k seats from the UK over the Bank Holiday weekend, 6% more than last year, and offering 56 more destinations, including new routes to Preveza, Reus, and Ljubljana.
Whether flying out Friday evening or Saturday morning, travellers can reach key European hotspots in under three hours from their local airport in the UK, spend two full days abroad, and be home with the Bank Holiday Monday still to come.
Brits across the country are just a short flight away from Europe’s holiday hotspots via easyJet’s UK airports:
London Area: London Gatwick, London Luton, London Southend and London Stansted
England: Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Southampton
Scotland: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen
Northern Ireland: Belfast International and Belfast City
Short-haul packages to Amsterdam and Paris are proving most popular for quick weekend turnarounds without using up any annual leave.
Tony Hopkins, Trading & Development Director at easyJet holidays, commented:
“More people are looking to make the most of Bank Holiday weekends, and it’s easy to see why. A short break offers the chance to switch off, explore somewhere new and enjoy great value, all without using a single day’s annual leave. Destinations such as Amsterdam and Paris are proving particularly popular, and with flights from more UK regional airports than any other package holiday provider, easyJet holidays is making weekend escapes more accessible for customers across the UK.”
