Excalibur Group acquires SpaSeekers, strengthening its position in the UK spa and wellness market

Excalibur Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of SpaSeekers, one of the UK’s longest‑running spa booking platforms. The deal follows Excalibur’s successful acquisition of Spabreaks.com in October 2025 and marks another step in the Group’s strategy to grow its presence in, and support the development of, the UK spa and wellness sector.
SpaSeekers will sit alongside Excalibur’s existing experience brands, including Wowcher, Spabreaks.com, 5pm, Things-To-Do and Superbreak with both spa platforms continuing to operate independently. The SpaSeekers team in Coventry and the Spabreaks.com team in Brighton will remain in place.

Excalibur confirmed that there will be no immediate changes to either platform, its booking process or partner arrangements. The immediate focus is on continuity, alongside investment to strengthen SpaSeekers’ marketing and digital capabilities drawing on technology and initiatives already successfully deployed at Spabreaks.com.
Bringing the two platforms together creates a broader presence across the UK spa market, combining Spabreaks.com’s premium, experience-led offering, including its Elysium Collection, with SpaSeekers’ broad consumer reach. Together, the businesses will benefit from greater scalability and a stronger spread of market coverage, while still retaining their distinct brand propositions and customer bases.

George Oborne, CEO of Excalibur Group, said:
“This is great news for Excalibur Group and for the spa industry as a whole. The acquisition of Spabreaks.com in October unlocked double‑digit year‑on‑year growth, and we’ll be applying the same approach to SpaSeekers, which ultimately means fuller spas across the country.”

Tamzin Silander, Managing Director of Spabreaks.com commented:
“The team at Spabreaks.com and I are delighted about the acquisition of SpaSeekers by Excalibur Group. It marks another positive moment for the spa sector as we continue to support and grow the wider industry. With the festive season approaching, there’s real opportunity here for everyone involved.”

Abi Selby, Founder of Spabreaks.com, who led the business through its acquisition and now serves as an advisor and Chair of the UK Spa Association, noted
“When Spabreaks.com joined Excalibur Group last year, it signalled the start of a genuinely ambitious vision for the spa sector. Seeing SpaSeekers, a company I have admired for many years, join that journey is a proud moment. This move is fundamentally about growth for the wider spa industry, combining scale, digital innovation, and shared expertise to support venues big and small across the UK. I look forward to working with Excalibur Group and other partners to expand opportunities, support spa operators, and help more people access the wellness experiences they need now more than ever.”

Jason Goldberg, Founder of SpaSeekers, who will step away from the business, concluded:
“This is an incredibly proud moment for me. From starting the business in our garage in Coventry in 1989 with two phones and a fax machine, to seeing what it has become today, it’s been quite a journey.
Finding the right home for SpaSeekers really mattered to me, and Excalibur Group is absolutely the right partner to take it forward. Bringing SpaSeekers and Spabreaks.com together creates a strong future for customers, spa partners and the wider wellness sector. I’m immensely proud of the team and everything we’ve built, and I’m excited to see SpaSeekers thrive in its next chapter.”
