Khushboo Patani, the sister of Bollywood actress Disha Patani, rescued an abandoned baby, aged nine to ten months, from a run-down building here on Sunday morning, according to police.
They claimed that Khushboo Patani scaled a wall to save the infant.
The infant was discovered close to Disha’s home in Bareilly, where Kushboo resides with her father, Jagdish Patani, a retired police circle officer. Many people in the city are applauding her courageous deed.
Khushboo heard the baby’s cries coming from an abandoned building nearby as she went out on a morning stroll, according to Circle Officer (City-I) Pankaj Srivastava.
She bravely climbed over a wall to get to the location because there was no direct way to get to the building. She discovered a sobbing baby on the floor with obvious facial injuries inside, according to Srivastava.
She gave first assistance and took the baby home right away.
After then, the family reported the incident to the police. According to police, the child is currently receiving care at the district hospital after being admitted there.
To find the person who abandoned the infant, police have started looking through local CCTV footage.
“Efforts are underway to trace those responsible for leaving the baby in such a condition,” said Srivastava.
