In doing so, he became only the second Indian track and field athlete after the legendary PT Usha to win three medals at a single edition of the Games. He had earlier claimed silver medals in the men’s 1,500m and 10,000m events. India’s Gurindervir Singh, Animesh Kujur, Sneha Shanuvali and Harita Bhadra won the bronze medal in the mixed 4x100m relay event. Pooja took India’s medals tally to 50 after clinching a bronze in the women’s high jump final.
