Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Milwaukee, Chicago and New York from September 29 to October 5, with India-US trade talks and investment opportunities on the agenda.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the United States from September 29 to October 5 to participate in the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting and hold discussions with American business leaders, investors and the startup community.
Goyal will attend the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 30 and October 1. The discussions will focus on global trade priorities, market access and strengthening a rules-based multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core.
On the sidelines, Goyal is expected to hold bilateral meetings with trade ministers from G20 countries and discuss opportunities for Indian farmers, fishermen, women entrepreneurs, startups and MSMEs.
The visit also comes amid ongoing India-US negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement. Discussions will focus on advancing a balanced and mutually beneficial interim trade deal in line with the joint statement signed by India and the US in February 2026.
In Milwaukee and Chicago, Goyal will also meet CEOs and business leaders from sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, retail, consumer goods and technology. He will highlight India’s growing role as a manufacturing and investment destination.
