S Hotels & Resorts has officially expanded its day-club concept, SunRay Social & Swim Club, launching today at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. The launch follows a soft rollout at SAii Koh Samui Villas and precedes a final portfolio installation at SAii Laguna Phuket later this year.
The launch party gave a vivid flavour of what was to come for the venue, with guests treated to tasters from the new menu including signature gelato, sliders, chilli dogs and their house beef supreme pizza, alongside signature cocktails the highlight of which was a frozen negroni. There was also a lively performance from Heytvalla Boduberu, fusing traditional drumming and chanting with expressionistic dancing.

Designed around daytime activity rather than nightlife, SunRay offers a structured, four-phase daily program, from morning till night. First Light starts off the day with sunrise yoga and beach bootcamps, Morning Drift offers Aqua Flow workouts, floating pickleball, and lagoon snorkeling, Peak Sun includes poolside water polo, volleyball, and mobile karaoke, while finally for Golden Hour guests can participate in Beach sports, family sandcastle contests, and a sunset Boduberu drum ritual transition into evening acoustic and DJ sets.
The venue’s culinary focus emphasizes shareable poolside dining featuring breadfruit crisps, Phuket lobster arancini, and oven-hot Maldivian-style pizza, alongside sun-inspired cocktails and an exclusive handcrafted gelato bar.
Located 15 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport within the CROSSROADS Maldives complex, SunRay is accessible to both resort guests and day visitors. Day passes start at USD 30 net per adult (including speedboat transfers and a 30% discount on food and beverages), with full-day dining packages available up to USD 140.
