Tingre, who is contesting the assembly from Vadgaon Sheri as the candidate of the ruling NCP led by Ajit Pawar, faces the allegation of using his clout to protect the accused in the Porsche crash case
According to Baramati MP Supriya Sule, governing NCP MLA Sunil Tingre sent her father, NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar, a legal summons requesting that he refrain from disparaging him in the Pune Porsche automobile hit-and-run case.
Speaking at a rally on Friday in favor of Bapu Pathare, the party’s candidate running for the November 20 assembly election from Pune’s Vadgaon Sheri constituency, Sule is the working president of the NCP (SP).
“The person whom the party had given the ticket last time has now sent a notice that he will drag Sharad Pawar to court if he was defamed in the Porsche car case,” Sule stated without mentioning Tingre’s name.
However, Sharad Pawar is not even scared of the notification from the Enforcement Directorate. Do you believe that your notice will make him fearful? Sule inquired. She then told reporters that Tingre had sent Pawar a warning via his attorneys.
She went on, “We will investigate the notice.”
Tingre, the candidate of the ruling NCP led by Ajit Pawar and running for assembly from Vadgaon Sheri, is accused of using his influence to shield the defendant in the Porsche crash case. In the early hours of May 19, two IT professionals, one of whom was a woman, were killed when a luxury automobile driven by a 17-year-old teenager under the influence of alcohol struck and killed two motorbike riders in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar neighborhood.
