Kargar, who currently heads TVS Motor’s international business, will take charge on January 27, 2027
TVS Motor Company on Friday named Peyman Kargar as its next Chief Executive Officer, handing the top job to the executive leading its international business as the company seeks to build on its growing global presence.
Kargar will take charge as CEO on January 27, 2027, succeeding K N Radhakrishnan, who has held the position since 2008. Radhakrishnan will remain at the helm until the transition, TVS Motor said.
TVS Motor has been widening its international footprint through acquisitions and strategic investments, making overseas markets an increasingly important part of its growth strategy.
Kargar’s global experience
Kargar joined TVS Motor in March 2025 as President, International Business, and is based in Dubai. Under his leadership, the company’s international operations have become an increasingly important contributor to its global expansion.
International business now accounts for 29 per cent of TVS Motor’s sales volume, the company said.
“As President, International Business, he has already made a meaningful contribution to our business, and I am confident he is the right person to lead TVS Motor Company and further strengthen our position among the world’s leading mobility companies,” Chairman Sudarshan Venu said in a statement.
Kargar brings more than three decades of experience in the global automotive industry, with leadership roles across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

He also served as Chairman and Senior Vice President for Nissan’s Africa, Middle East and India region and as CEO of Datsun, where he oversaw operations across more than 80 countries.
Earlier, Kargar was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Renault Group, managing operations across 50 countries spanning Africa, the Middle East, Iran and India.
His experience covers engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, quality, project management and business development.
Radhakrishnan to remain until January
Radhakrishnan will continue as Director and CEO until January 27, 2027, ensuring an orderly transition at the company.
Following his departure from the executive role, he will serve as a non-executive director until TVS Motor’s annual general meeting scheduled for July 2027.
Radhakrishnan has led TVS Motor since 2008, a period during which the company has expanded its product portfolio and strengthened its position in India’s two-wheeler market.
Kargar’s appointment comes as the industry undergoes a broader shift towards electric mobility, premium motorcycles and greater internationalisation.
