Deactivation of IRCTC User ID
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told the Rajya Sabha on Friday, July 25, that IRCTC had revoked more than 2.5 crore user IDs in order to stop ticket booking system abuses.
IRCTC recently deactivated over 2.5 crore user IDs in an effort to stop ticket booking system malpractices after a thorough data point analysis revealed that the users’ credentials were questionable, Vaishnaw said.
In addition to asking for specifics regarding the steps being taken to guarantee transparency, stop abuse, and enhance passenger access to confirmed train tickets, Rajya Sabha member AD Singh also posed a question to the Union Minister.
