The Vivo V50 is expected to launch later this month. Here’s how it might differ from the Vivo V40, based on reports.

The Vivo V50 is slated to be released shortly in India and will be Vivo’s next mid-range smartphone, sporting Zeiss-powered optics to deliver a flagship-level photographic experience to the mid-range sector. It will be a straight successor to last year’s Vivo V40. Now, before of the debut, let’s look at the device’s expected specifications, which include a quad-curved display and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

Here’s how it could compare to the Vivo V40.
Performance & More

According to sources, the Vivo V50 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, making it comparable to the Vivo V40, which also has a 4nm processor.
Additionally, tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the Vivo V50 5G would include a quad-curved display, similar to the flagship Vivo X200 Pro. This would set it apart from the Vivo V40, which has a 3D curved display.

Yogesh Brar also discusses the phone’s design, noting that it may be offered in a new Rose Red color, which is likely influenced by Indian weddings. The smartphone is believed to be compact and include a 6,000mAh battery. In comparison, the Vivo V40 has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging. The Vivo V40 has IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistant ratings, so it’s not surprising that the Vivo V50 will have the same level of protection.

Display And Camera

According to speculations, the Vivo V50’s display could be a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. If accurate, this would be a departure from the Vivo V40, which features a slightly larger 6.78-inch curved panel with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

In terms of sensors, the Vivo V50 is expected to include a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. In contrast, the Vivo V40 has a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. It remains to be seen if this rumored camera configuration will be validated. The Vivo V50 is believed to have a 50MP front-facing camera, identical to the Vivo V40.

When is Vivo V50 launching?

Vivo India has already released a teaser for X, adding, “The promise of forever is going to become picture flawless. “Vivo V50 is coming soon to make weddings, pro.” This confirms the debut, and the phone is likely to be available shortly.
