Liberatha Peter Kallat, the CEO and chairperson of Dreamfolks Services, has publicly criticized two significant Indian airport operators for employing coercive measures to interfere with her company’s operations in a forceful statement. Kallat said in an interview with CNBC-TV 18 that banks are under pressure to sever their connections with Dreamfolks since airport operators have lately introduced competitive lounge access services.
According to Kallat, “the pressure is to tell the clients that they would actually stop their cardholder access to their airports if they do not sign up with them or do business with them directly.”
In light of recent reports that lounge access programs for Axis Bank and ICICI Bank have been canceled, even though Dreamfolks still has active contracts with both banks, she made this comment. According to Kallat, some card kinds are still in use, while others have moved to rival sites.
Kallat went on to say that despite mounting pressure for nearly two years, Dreamfolks had refrained from going public up until this point.
According to Kallat, she “tried to be diplomatic.”
“I always tried to be diplomatic, but I thought it was time to come out and share the facts,” she said, adding that “technology and services, not threats, should be the focus of fair competition.”
Citing a lack of trust in instructional support, Kallat has ruled out the possibility of pursuing regulatory involvement notwithstanding the tension.
