Oleh Kiper, the governor of the larger Odesa region, posted on Telegram that a “massive” drone attack had targeted residential structures, a maternity unit, and an emergency medical facility in the southern port of Odesa.
According to Kiper, there were no injuries at the maternity facility, and both patients and staff were evacuated. He shared pictures of damaged building facades and smashed windows in what appeared to be a medical facility.
In the conflict that Russia started against Ukraine over three years ago, both sides deny attacking civilians. However, the conflict has claimed thousands of civilian lives, the vast majority of whom were Ukrainian.
