For the Coppolas, at least, the Chanel fall 2025 couture presentation in Paris earlier today was a total family event. Filmmaker Sofia Coppola and her two children, Cosima Mars, 15, and Romy Mars, 18, were seated in the first row together. For the siblings, it was a very memorable morning because it was their first time experiencing couture. Romy tells Vogue, “It was a dream to come to Paris and go straight to Chanel for my fitting for the ball and the show.” “Seeing everything was so thrilling. It was a somewhat overwhelming vibe. The set and the venue were amazing. I felt very unique!

Romy is accustomed to living in the spotlight. She and her grandfather Francis Ford Coppola made their discreet red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Since then, she has started to build a social media following on TikTok, where she frequently shares her costumes and hilarious unscripted videos of her mother. (Mars has also been working toward a pop career; this month, the music video for her new song, “A-Lister,” was published.)

Despite her familiarity with fashion and celebrities, Mars acknowledges that seeing today’s Chanel couture show was an experience of a lifetime. The three Coppolas, of course, wore coordinated outfits, choosing pastel pinks and blues that matched. Mars accessorized her own ensemble with a classic blue quilted top-handle bag and a light blue cashmere dress from Chanel’s autumn 2025 collection. (Any genuine Chanel girl must own a purse from the French brand.)

Mars was pulled to the more traditional and glitzy French clothes when she watched the new collection walking down the catwalk. She declares, “[I loved] the dresses, the colors, and the accessories.” “The feather coat and the dress with the multicolored flower embroidery were my favorite looks!” Additionally, she witnessed the walk of one of her favorite Gen Z supermodels. Following the performance, Mars declared, “Alex Consani ate down.” But what’s her biggest personal highlight? The set list for the catwalk. “The music was amazing.” My mother and I were dancing when the beat stopped.
