Singer Camila Cabello walked the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala wearing a gown designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. But the chunk of ice Camila wore with her red carpet ensemble was what really grabbed everyone’s attention.
The Garden of Time and Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion concept was in line with Cabello’s ice clutch. The block of ice surrounded a rose crafted from 18k rose gold and diamonds for the clutch.
Tyla
Tyla, the singer-songwriter, was dressed in a sand-sculpted Balmain gown. In keeping with the Garden of Time theme, the hourglass purse was worn with the sand outfit. For Tyla, however, this was more of a “Sand of Time” moment.
Cynthia Erivo
Cynthia Erivo, an actress, turned heads by wearing a dragonfly on the back of her head that was adorned with antique jewelry. The archival dragonfly by Jennifer Behr was dressed in a black Thom Browne outfit in accordance with the Garden of Time dress code.
Zendaya
Honoring the official dress code and the Metropolis Costume Institute’s show theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion Zendaya, who starred in The Garden of Time, walked the red carpet wearing high-end fashion designs by John Galliano for Givenchy and Maison Margiela. The focal point was the floral headdress by Alexander McQueen, which looked like an enormous bunch of flowers. Zendaya accessorized the Maison Margiela siren dress with a feathered fascinator that towered over the famous staircase. Law Roach, a famous stylist, dressed Zendaya.
