New Delhi: Ranveer Allahbadia, a YouTuber and podcaster, is facing backlash for his comments on the comedy show India’s Got Latent. While the 31-year-old has apologised for his vulgar words, the dispute surrounding them is snowballing into a serious problem.
Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Shiv Sena (UBT), has stated that she will address the issue with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Parliamentary panel.

Police have filed complaints in Mumbai and Guwahati against Ranveer Allahbadia, comic Samay Raina, influencer Apoorva Makhija, and others in connection with the India’s Got Latent episode in which Allahbadia made the obscene remarks.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the state police have filed a FIR against Allahbadia, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, humorist Jaspreet Singh, Makhija, Raina, and others for spreading obscenity and indulging in a sexually explicit and vulgar debate.
In Mumbai, many complaints have been filed against Allahbadia, who has 4.5 million Instagram followers and 1.05 crore YouTube subscribers. Police have stated that they are investigating the situation.
In the midst of the controversy surrounding Allahbadia’s remarks, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that he was notified about the situation. “Everyone has the right to free expression, but that right is limited when we infringe on the rights of others. “Everyone has limits, and if anyone exceeds them, action will be taken,” he stated.
Allahbadia, better known as the BeerBiceps Guy, recently featured on an episode of India’s Got Latent, hosted by Raina. A viral clip from the show shows Allahbadia asking a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever.”
After the words provoked a tremendous backlash, Allahbadia apologized, claiming that comedy was not his strong suit and that he had made a mistake. “My comment was not only improper, but also not humorous. “Comedy is not my forte; I am just here to apologize,” he added in a video message.
The podcaster stated that this was not how he wanted to use his platform. “I’m not going to provide any context, rationale, or reasoning for whatever occurred. I am only here to apologize. I had a lapse in judgment. “It was not cool on my part,” he admitted.
The event has sparked a backlash against vulgar content in comedy performances. Singer B Praak, who was supposed to appear in Allahbadia’s show, has cancelled the appearance and warned stand-up comedians to be cautious about the content they release.
