Teaser for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Reed and Sue have an intense conversation about their history and future during a critical scene in the trailer.
Washington: The much anticipated teaser for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ has finally been released, according to Deadline. Marvel Studios presented the trailer on Tuesday, offering fans their first glimpse at the next picture, which will be released in theaters in July of this year.
The trailer exposes viewers to the Fantastic Four’s retrofuturistic setting. It begins with Reed Richards and Sue Storm showing a guest around their headquarters in the Baxter Building, as H.E.R.B.I.E. and The Thing prepare a supper.
A key moment in the trailer features an emotional exchange between Reed and Sue about their past and future.
“Before we went up the first time,” Sue shares with Reed, “you couldn’t turn invisible, Ben wasn’t a rock, and Johnny never caught fire.”
“Ben’s always been a rock. Johnny’s name is just Johnny. And I’m right here. “Whatever life throws at us, we’ll face it together, as a family,” Sue says in the trailer.
Other views include Johnny Storm going into space without a spacesuit, clouds of flames over Manhattan, and John Malkovich playing a strange part.
The film is set in an alternate 1960s and was shot overseas from July to November 2024. Julia Garner stars as Shalla-Bal (a spin-off of Silver Surfer), while Paul Walter-Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles round out the cast.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directed the picture, which was written by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Kevin Feige is the producer for Marvel Studios.
