Ananya Birla, the daughter of business magnate Kumar Mangalam Birla, is preparing to enter the beauty and personal care sector with her new business, posing a serious threat to Isha Ambani, the daughter of Mukesh Ambani.

Another billionaire heiress, Ananya Birla, the daughter of business magnate Kumar Mangalam Birla, is about to enter the beauty and personal care market, posing a threat to Isha Ambani, the daughter of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani.

In 2025, a firm run by Ananya Birla plans to launch a variety of beauty and personal care brands, according to a statement released on Wednesday. According to the announcement, Ananya’s company intends to introduce cosmetics, fragrances, and other items gradually.

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has reportedly been signed on to represent the beauty care line run by Ananya Birla. Birla has stated that her new business aims to meet India’s growing need for domestic cosmetic brands.

“This venture aims to meet those expectations with authenticity and innovation and bring world class products to the Indian marketplace,” Ananya Birla stated, adding that her brand aims to appeal to a global consumer base. “Indian consumers now demand more from home-grown brands due to increased exposure to global products and knowledge.”

“From brand identity to go-to-market strategy, every element is designed to challenge conventions and redefine the consumer experience—our brands are built for the new age,” she continued.

Ananya Birla is a director on the board of ABMCPL, the Aditya Birla Group’s strategic body, which is managed by Kumar Mangalam Birla. In addition to serving in important roles on the boards of Hindalco, Grasim, and ABFRL, among other Aditya Birla Group firms, Ananya is the brand ambassador for Maybelline.

The introduction of Ananya Birla’s new business comes as the BPC market in India is expected to reach $34 billion by 2028, growing at a rate of 10–11% over the coming years. According to the statement, the BPC market is expected to reach $34 billion by 2028 and expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10–11% due to factors like growing disposable incomes, increased e-commerce penetration, and growing consumer receptivity to new products.

In recent years, the BPC industry has seen a surge in business owners. In 2023, Isha Ambani, the daughter of India’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, launched her beauty retail platform, Tira, under Reliance Retail.
