Hyundai Motor India declared on Sunday that it will offer substantial price reductions throughout its passenger car lineup, allowing its consumers to fully benefit from the recent GST reforms.

Just before the holiday season, on September 22, the new pricing will go into effect.

Hyundai SUVs and automobiles would cost up to Rs 2.4 lakh less with the new pricing.

The Hyundai Tucson will have the largest discount, with a price drop of Rs 2,40,303.\

There will also be significant discounts on several well-known models, including the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Exter, i20, Venue, Verna, Creta, and Alcazar, with prices ranging from about Rs 60,000 to more over Rs 1.2 lakh.

Hyundai Motor India Limited’s managing director, Unsoo Kim, stated that the company applauds the government’s decision to lower the GST on passenger cars.

“We sincerely appreciate the progressive and far-sighted move by the Government of India to reduce GST on passenger vehicles,” Kim stated.

According to him, the reform is a step that will help the auto industry and make personal mobility more accessible and inexpensive for millions of Indians.

He went on to say that Hyundai is dedicated to helping India’s development by providing cars and SUVs that offer innovation, value, and the enjoyment of driving.

Small cars, which are classified as vehicles under four meters in length with gasoline engines up to 1,200cc or diesel engines up to 1,500cc, will now pay 18% GST instead of the previous 28%, according to the GST adjustments announced during the 56th GST Council meeting.

The GST rate will increase by 40% for larger cars with larger engines, but there won’t be the extra tax that was previously applied.

Hyundai claimed that these changes, referred to as GST 2.0, will increase demand in the auto industry in addition to lowering the cost of car ownership.

The company anticipates that the new pricing will boost sales during the holiday season and improve customer mood.
