Bengaluru traffic alert: Bengaluru traffic police have issued a travel advice for Aero India 2025, recommending commuters to avoid specific routes and use alternative routes to Kempegowda International Airport. Aero India 2025 will be open to the public on February 13 and 14.

Bengaluru traffic alert: The Bengaluru Traffic Police issued a travel advise on Thursday in response to Aero India 2025. The advice indicates traffic restrictions and diversions for passengers heading to Kempegowda International Airport.

The alert dated February 11 advises commuters headed to the airport to avoid National Highway 44. It reads: “Due to Aero India 2025, all commuters to the airport are advised to avoid NH 44—Bengaluru-Bellary Road.” Use the other route: Hebbal -> Hennur -> Bagalur -> Airport South Gate.”

According to the advise, motorists should avoid taking Bellary Road in addition to National Highway 44 when traveling to Bengaluru International Airport. Furthermore, traffic diversions are in place as the 15th edition of Aero India takes place at Bengaluru’s Yelahanka Air Force Station. On February 10, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opened the ceremony.

Alternative routes

Bengaluru Traffic Police recommended travelers to take an alternate route through Hebbal before continuing to Hennur, Bagalur, and the Airport South Gate.

Aero India 2025

The theme of the five-day event is ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,’ which highlights India’s aerial strength, domestic defense technologies, and global aerospace advancements. The event aims to promote the Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, and Make for the World programs.

The event features around 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign enterprises. Distinguished dignitaries who attended the exhibition included Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, the Chief of Defence Staff, and tri-service leaders.

The first three days of Aero India 2025 were designated as business days, catering only to industry executives and policymakers. The remaining two days, February 13 and 14, are public days. On these days, people can attend airshows and exhibitions.

Aero India 2025’s key activities include the Defence Ministers’ Conclave, CEOs Roundtable, iDEX Pavilion, Samarthya Indigenisation event, Manthan iDEX competition, and a number of seminars.
