There’s a certain kind of elegance that doesn’t announce itself; it simply arrives, soft yet arresting. Ananya Panday embodied exactly that energy in a radiant maroon saree as she stepped out to promote her upcoming movie, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, on Kaun Banega Crorepati. Bathed in sunlight and framed by lush green foliage, the look blended quiet confidence with a polished, contemporary Indian aesthetic.

A Masterwork of Maroon with Chromatic Play

At the center of the combination lay the Kshitij Jalori maroon saree, a piece that oozed understated luxury. The cloth possessed a beautiful sheen, allowing light to slide across it with seamless fluidity. While the body of the saree kept dedicated to classic minimalism, the striped palla introduced an unexpected, almost architectural color play with soft mint, blush, and peach tones coming together with a painterly elegance.

A striking chromatic counterpoint was added by the bright yellow shirt, resulting in a color scheme that was both joyous and refined. It’s not noisy at all; rather, it’s the kind of color-blocking that lives on subtlety, clarity, and wise restraint. The saree is priced at Rs 26,800.

The jewels from Shri Paramani Jewels finished the narrative with a statement. Oversized oxidised silver earrings, extravagant yet painstakingly created, serving as sculptural anchors for the overall look. Their antique look contrasted wonderfully with the stark modernity of the slicked-back bun. A cluster of silver bangles on one wrist furthered the textural play, grounding the saree in a rich, handcrafted mood. The jewellery doesn’t compete. It curates. Every component felt picked to deepen the story rather than overpower it.

The makeup was deliberate, clean, and subtly glitzy. The flawless, center-parted bun framed the face with immaculate symmetry, allowing the enormous earrings to take centre stage. Warm, sun-kissed skin, a delicate flush, and subtly defined eyes created a glow that felt almost organic, like the light itself is part of the glam team.

The ensemble, which was styled by Priyanka Kapadia, is a lesson in modern festive attire—luxurious but never ostentatious, traditional but updated with current accuracy. It’s the kind of look that resonates because it honors heritage while embracing the today.
