The impact of new boss Carlo Ancelotti may not be completely apparent until the FIFA World Cup next year, according to Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

In a World Cup qualifying match in Guayaquil, Brazil and Ecuador drew goallessly on Thursday, under the direction of Ancelotti, who was hired last month.

According to Xinhua, Alisson acknowledged that Ancelotti is already having an effect on the team but underlined that it will take time for his management to have a lasting impact.

The Liverpool player said during a news conference in Sao Paulo, where the team is preparing for next Tuesday’s World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay at Corinthians Arena, “We know that football is a process and we can’t expect all the problems to be resolved overnight.”

Alisson claimed that the former Real Madrid manager has already made the team’s defense more cohesive and the locker room more laid back.

The 65-year-old’s winning mindset is evident at team meetings and training sessions, he continued.

“Just by his presence, it’s clear that Ancelotti contributes in many ways,” he remarked. “Everywhere he goes, he brings his extensive football experience as a manager with him. The national team is no different.

When Alisson’s Liverpool contract expires in 2027, he may return to his own country to play for his old team, Internacional.

The 32-year-old stated, “My immediate goal is to be very focused on the present, especially with the World Cup approaching.” “I’ve had conversations with a few players who have already returned to Brazil; some had good experiences, while others didn’t.”

With three games left, Brazil is currently ranked fourth in the South American qualification group. As they get ready for the international event the following year, the team is keen to secure a strong result.
