Alia Bhatt stunned in a black saree with a striking studded top at designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s major fashion presentation in Mumbai, which celebrated the label’s 25th anniversary.
Actress Alia Bhatt made a fashion-forward statement in a black saree at designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s special show to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his namesake business in Mumbai.
Alia, who donned the famed couturier’s designs for her wedding and one of her Met Gala looks, arrived in a Murshidabad silk saree coupled with a micro choli. While the breadth of her silk saree was basic, the embroidered sleeveless top stole the spotlight.
It was richly embroidered and embellished with hand-painted appliqués, semi-precious stones, and glittering accents.
She kept her makeup basic with a dewy base and neutral lipstick. Her kohl-rimmed eyes, petite black bindi, and side-parted hair bun with gentle curls provided a touch of drama to the ensemble.
To honor Sabyasachi’s 25th anniversary, several Bollywood stars attended the event, including Sonam Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Ananya Panday, Rani Mukerji, and Aditi Rao Hydari, all dressed in exquisite black ensembles.
Deepika Padukone, meanwhile, launched the designer’s show in a monochromatic set that included ivory separates, opera gloves, and stacked statement jewels.
Sabyasachi, known for his regal costumes and lavish boutiques, went above and above to stage a spectacular display and transform the occasion into a majestic Kolkata-inspired setting.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who aims to establish India’s first worldwide luxury brand, has five freestanding locations (including one in New York) and a specialized jewellery store in Hyderabad. Over the years, he has been synonymous with Indian bridal fashion, dressing leading actresses such as Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif for their weddings.
