In honor of Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, co-founder Bill Gates posted a few of his old photos from the company’s infancy.
Gates, who was also its CEO until 2000, posted a number of uncommon old photos that he recalled were taken during his “awkward photo shoots” days.
On his official Instagram account, the billionaire posted a clip that starts with him taking a selfie while seated on a couch. The writing that appears on it also says, “Unfortunately, I’ll never feel cool again because this was me in the early Microsoft days.”
“To @microsoft, happy 50th birthday. In his heartfelt letter to the corporation, Gates said, “Thank you for the memories—and awkward photo shoots.”
