Foreign travelers who want to see and experience India have long been drawn to the nation. As social media has grown in popularity, many tourists record and share their individual experiences in India. An Australian tourist’s recent incident went viral on social media, receiving 9.6 million views on his newly created YouTube account, @willstrolls. The main focus of the video is the tourist’s encounter with an Indian car driver who was not only fluent in English but also a pleasure to converse with, sharing his life experiences with a kind smile and wise comments.
In the video, the driver accurately identified the visitor as being from Australia and disclosed that he had previously worked as a cook in Melbourne. “I’m not a businessman,” the modest man boldly stated in English when asked if he owned any companies. I’m a pleasure-seeking human being. I don’t care about money. Life requires money. Money is not the purpose of life.
He referred to the visitor as “my friend” and brought him to his favorite chai shop, where his friend uses rose petals to make his own tea blend. Together, the three savored the appetizing-looking tea.
“When you work as a driver, you have more fun,” the driver said with joy. After being dropped off at his location, the traveler gave the guy a genuine and joyful farewell.
The driver’s generosity has been widely praised on the internet. Check out the comments section:
Someone said, “He single-handedly saved India’s image of hospitality.” Someone more said, “The Indian Ministry of Tourism should award people like him to promote this and to encourage others to be like him.”
Another commenter said, “He just lifted India’s reputation 100x.” “Please find this man and get him back to the hospitality business,” a YouTube user commented. That’s excellent customer service.
Another said, “Don’t judge uncle if he is poor or not, he will be an example of how a perfect citizen should be.” A reader wrote, “This uncle is precious, needs to be respected highly, this is India, my beautiful India.”
