New York – America Donald Trump has criticized Zohran Mamdani, a radical socialist of Indian descent, as a “100 per cent communist lunatic” in response to his victory in the Democratic mayoral primary in New York City. After former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo conceded the election, Trump aggressively attacked other progressive figures who back Mamdani, such as Senator Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).

The 33-year-old self-declared socialist was attacked personally by Trump, who claimed that Mamdani “looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him.” Indeed, this marks a significant turning point in our nation’s history.
He claimed that Democrats should nominate “Low IQ Candidate, Jasmine Crockett, for President” in order to reenter the race in another capacity. Additionally, he stated that Democrats ought to appoint Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other progressive Squad members to Cabinet posts under the moniker “AOC+3.”
After former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo conceded the mayoral primary contest in New York City, Mamdani—a Muslim of Indian descent and the son of famed Indian American director Mira Nair and an Indian-born Marxist professor Mahmood Mamdani—won the democratic campaign. Ninety percent of the ballots were counted, and Mamdani received 43.5% of the vote.
Mamdani will become the first Muslim mayor of New York if he prevails in the final election.
He is supported by the Democratic Socialists of America party, a specialized, Marxist group that many Democratic leaders feel their party should abandon. He is the son of immigrants of Indian descent. Trump also targets Mamdani because he has called Israel out for “genocide” and stands out for Palestinians.
Among his fans are two of Trump’s most ardent opponents: progressive congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and ferocious socialist Senator Bernie Sanders.
Currently serving as a state assemblyman for the Queens borough of New York, Mamdani has made some striking policy ideas, such as universal childcare, free bus transportation, and rent freezing for many New Yorkers. His message resonated in a city where a three-bedroom apartment can easily cost $6,000 a month.
