Reddit has temporarily blocked r/WhitePeopleTwitter for 72 hours due to violent language, after Elon Musk’s assertion that members violated the law. The ban demonstrates Reddit’s commitment to enforce platform policies against inciting violence and doxing.
Reddit has temporarily blocked the r/WhitePeopleTwitter forum in response to billionaire Elon Musk’s claim that users had broken the law. Reddit stated that the community had been suspended for 72 hours owing to the ‘prevalence of violent content’.
In a post on X (previously Twitter), a user named ‘Reddit lies’ shared screenshots from r/WhitePeopleTwitter, where people were discussing the identity of Musk’s DOGE personnel that assisted him in taking control of various systems within the US federal government in recent days.
Musk responded to that tweet, writing, “They have broken the law.”

Reddit has banned a forum called r/IsElonDeadYet for breaking its rules on publishing violent content.
Musk is apparently utilizing a squad of young engineers at the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, who have minimal government experience, to complete his takeover of the US federal government in recent days.
Notably, DOGE is not a government agency, but rather a team within the then-Trump administration with a broad mandate to reduce US government spending, shrink the federal workforce, and improve bureaucratic efficiency.
However, Musk’s supporters have been hired by various federal agencies, and Musk has stated that revealing their names online is against the law.
Recently, Musk’s DOGE obtained access to the US Treasury, which is in charge of distributing over $6 trillion in annual payments on behalf of the US government.
